Rhubarb Intervention Needed
Have BYU professors lightened up about working with athletes and their athletic
Schedules?

I know some were great about it while others were militant and were proud to tell athletes they weren’t going to work with their schedules. I recall a certain economics professor tell the class this on the first day and invited them to take another class if it wasn’t going to work for their athletic schedule because he wasn’t going to make any accommodations, I feel the athletes just got up and left. Also a good friend even tried to take a class with his own professor uncle and he brought up the athletic schedule and uncle basically said tough I don’t work with athletes schedules. He even asked if he could take tests early, nope. He ended up signing up for a different class.

As an observer, I was a little stunned it was even left up to the professors and that the administration didn’t have a blanket policy for all classes and professors that they were to work around official athletic events and related travel. (Heck UNC was so accommodating they had someone do the class for them!). Maybe they have adopted a policy since I’ve been there but that whole thing was just weird. I just couldn’t see this happening at other schools especially schools with big-time successful teams
