Visits: Use to have 5 official visits. So if someone was going to visit you, it was a big deal. Now they have unlimited visits which makes it harder to gage how interested they really are.

The portal: Sites/lists out there of who is planning or talking about entering the portal. These lists already have data on the kid's background, and who his representation is. This allows you to be ready to go the moment he makes it official. Can't contact him until their in the portal....but you're already watching them with these sites.

We talk to everyone. Parents, high school coaches, agents reach out. JUCO coaches are a big deal now with the extra year. Kids who sign with agents make the process smoother so you just talk to the athlete about basketball and the agent about money.
