...is not well-suited as a mechanism to explain how the insect developed this defense. The biology of the insect's ability to have separate chambers to produce and store just the right chemicals and be able to shoot out a mixture is too complex to have "evolved" by mere blind chance. Evolution theory says many intermediate forms would have evolved with very similar abilities, but where are they? The fossil record does not contain enough of them.
