You can focus on playing ball without distractions. The HC is especially attractive to some parents of athletes out there. BYU and its culture isn't just for LDS athletes.

I get it, there are a lot who won't even give BYU a sniff because of that. That's fine. It makes recruiting maybe a little easier to focus on those who would be a good fit.

I'm just saying that I don't think the HC is as big of a hinderance to BYU sports as some think. But it will certainly keep some away. That's fine. Their choice. I don't think we need to worry about enforcing it or not, if the coaches are open and positive about it.
