We can hate it. We can gripe to our friends about it. We can decide whether or not we want to continue our interest in college sports (For me, this is a resounding “yes, definitely” at the moment, but it’s up for review every year).

But it’s the current reality. The portal. NIL. We are going to lose good players that we like.

All we can do is try to replace them with even better players and develop them into great contributors on great teams.

I think BYU is in a better position to do exactly that than at any point in its history.
