After I read this I immediately sent this article to my wife because there were so many parts of the story that reminded me of my wife. She has been completely selfless as we have been through our medical school journey. Married me while I was still in pre-med, moved to Phoenix with a 1 year old to start medical school. Endured not matching on match day and the anxiety and tears that come with the scramble and that whole mess. Moved to Miami with 3 little ones with our closest family member being in Utah. The joys of actually matching the second go-around. And now I just completed fellowship interviews. I'm on a rotation 3.5 hours away from my wife and don't get to see her often at this time. After I completed my last interview a couple weeks back, my first thought about putting together my final rank list was exactly the same. "I just gotta get home to my wife, I gotta look at her in the eyes and we’ve got to talk this thing through."
Shout out to all the amazing CB wives. Especially mine. She is the best
