3 major BYU b ball legacy story lines were cemented with the win on Saturday
1. Egor Demin has lived up to his hype

Probably the most hyped b ball recruit since Shawn Bradley... and he has faced a lot of criticism this season. No question has saved his best games for when it mattered most. He has really been a star these last 2 games. The 3 he made from the logo was right after the now infamous Baker ejection and was also the last field goal BYU made. If the officiating hadn't been so crazy, that would've been the shining moment from the game. It will be sad to see him go, but he absolutely should go to the NBA. Putting him in the NBA will be great for the program.

2. Trevin Knell is a clutch player

He's had big moments where he hasn't shown up. Most recently missing the FT in the Utah game that could've sealed it. But on Saturday night Knell was awesome. 14 points on 4-6 from 3 and he made some huge shots. BYU has now been to the Sweet 16 three times and Knell was a key contributor in this one.

3. Richie Saunders has to be on the BYU b ball Mount Rushmore

Just typing that out feels odd but it has to be true. Of course you have Cosic, Ainge & Fredette but as I mentioned before... the Cougs have been only gotten this far 3 times and Richie is now the unquestioned leader of this team. There were several moments in the game that you could feel it slipping away and Richie took the ball and scored. Re-watching the game what really stood out to me were his offensive rebounds. He WANTED this game more than anyone else on the court. As crazy as it feels to put him above players like Travis Hansen, Lee Cummard even Tyler Haws... he is.

Did you notice any other major legacy story lines that came out of this game?
