No, most don't eventually route through it unless they fly on Turkish Airlines. And then if they do, it's a layover at
IST cause the Turkish airways stopover program is awful compared with Etihad or Iceland Air or a Flying Blue at actually stopping there. You don't actually get into the city without planning to go there.
That's like saying most eventually route through Qatar. You do...if you're flying on Qatar Airways. Otherwise the only reason you go there with anyone else is cause that's your destination.
