The environment in our game was a lot better than the game before us. Wisconsin had a lot of fans there, but cougar nation definitely outnumbered them.

A random fan that wasn’t sitting next to us walks by and says sarcastically and angrily “thanks for that dunk after the buzzer. Great sportsmanship. Very Christian of you.”

I laughed and gave him a thumbs up. I’m assuming he was a Wisconsin fan although I didn’t see any gear. Pretty funny. Talk about sour grapes. So glad we won that game.

I can’t even imagine walking away with a loss on a buzzer beater after the way the game was officiated and the lead we had. The flagrant 2 on Dawson was unbelievable. I can’t believe they called that.

It was shocking because in the arena we had no idea that was even being considered. I just thought we had called timeout. They never showed a replay or anything. Why not make the fan experience better in the arena by showing timely replays? I get you don’t want to rile up the fans too much maybe?

Makes no sense they don’t replay for example the out of bounds on Wisconsin right before the last possession. I called my brother who was watching at home to ask who it was off since I don’t catch it live and no replays were shown.

We were obviously the better team and deserved to win. I think I would’ve preferred winning more comfortably in the moment, but after the fact it was way more epic to win at the buzzer.

I am surprised we didn’t start face guarding Tonje towards the end. He killed us. 37 points. What an epic performance by him. I would’ve double teamed him on the inbounds and then face guarded him with one guy and make it difficult for him to catch it. In the end tho, Mag played great defense and that is what Kevin Young trusted.

Really looking forward to playing against Alabama. If Egor continues to shoot well from outside we have national championship potential. I’ll see you all in San Antonio if we can pull it off. Go Cougs!
