I have Michigan upsetting Auburn in my bracket, so I hope it follows true to form. However that is an upset.
Michigan St vs Ole Miss (Iowa St laying an egg vs a team that BYU took to OT early in the season) On paper Michigan St is the better team.
Maryland needed an awkward traveling inspired desperation shot to win their game over a mid major, and they get to face Florida in the next round. I don't see them hanging with the Gators
Calipari's dream ends imo next week vs Texas Tech. The Red Raiders end up being too much for the Razorbacks
Kentucky or Tennessee? Take your pick. One of them isn't going to the Elite Eight
BYU vs Alabama. This is a toss up. I had this matchup in my bracket and I picked ALabama. Of course no I am unsure given how well BYU is playing. So Alabama could easily miss out.
So conservatively I can see 2 losses and thus 5 move on to the elite eight.
The way things have been going however and based on matchups I can see another 2 losses making it only 3 SEC teams to the Elite eight.
The homer in me that wants the SEC fail however would love to see no more than 2 SEC teams make it to the final. For that to happen imo it would mean that Michigan upsets Auburn, Michigan St beats Ole Miss, Texas Tech beats Arkansas, Kentucky vs Tennessee (pick em), BYU upsets Alabama. This would leave Florida and the winner of the Kentucky/Tenn matchup.
