I'm not sure it's useful to compare him to ball-dominant senior guards, at least in terms of his ability to "take over a game."
I think his skills are elite enough that he'll always be a focus of the opposing defense. I'm not sure he'll be called upon to be the primary playmaker like the three you mention.
I'm not really disagreeing with you, just pointing out that he's in as different an age/experience category as it's possible to have in college. I'm hoping you're right.
