Tots in casserole dish.

Chopped onion.
Diced jalapeño if you like
1 1/2-2 cups shredded Swiss, cheddar and/or Monterey Jack cheese
16 oz sour cream
3/4 cup milk
Bacon bits
Mix all above and spread evenly over tots in dish.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder and pepper.
Cover with foil and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes.
Uncover and continue baking until browned.
