So the Big 12 went 7-1 in the opening round. SEC went 8-6 if you include Texas's
loss to Xavier in the play-in.
Had Kansas beat Arkansas, we would have more teams than the SEC left in the tourney.
Of course, of their 8 teams still in, 6 of them are top-4 seeds, so the top of their conference won their games. It was the middle-to-bottom that fell flat.
