I have found that almost all critiques of how the Church uses money make no
sense after giving them 2 seconds thought.

When the Ensign Peak leaks came out there were a lot of people who seemed to take a position that the church either shouldn't own stocks or shouldn't have profitable investments or shouldn't have unspent money or that they should maximize their tax liability or I don't know what. None of it makes sense. If an org doesn't spend all its money, why would it not find an appropriate investment vehicle to store the money and get some reasonable return consistent with their timeline and risk appetite?
