Yep...SEC was OVERRATED big time.
I'm not necessarily criticizing the top teams in the SEC, even though Auburn got a run for its money in the first round while Houston actually looked like a No.1 seed by blowing out a No.16 in the first round. I remain comfortable with the SEC getting the most bids of any conference, but setting a record with 14 was RIDICULOUS and almost every team was over-seeded. The SEC literally took the same strategy they were jumping up and down crying about the B12 taking last year. I couldn't be happier with every SEC loss and I hope the NET formula is adjusted to eliminate the advantage for blowout wins over crappy teams.

The ACC was known to be down and they only got 4 teams in, so it's a little surprising to see two of their four teams eliminated on the first day.

In the "more good news" category, the SEC's Ole Miss is up against the ACC's UNC, so one of those teams will be eliminated today, which means Duke could be the only ACC team left in the tournament after the first round. As Charles Barkley stated: "the ACC is just a terrible conference." Hopefully ISU wins today and eliminates whichever team survives that matchup on Sunday.
