in years 2009-2012, we won each bowl game. In 2011 we got to the sweet sixteen.
But those bowl games were all mid/low-tier, like the Vegas and NM bowl. We've not had a major bowl (e.g., Alamo, Cotton, or better) and an NCAA tourney win since probably 1993, when we won the Holiday Bowl and won the first round against SMU in the NCAAs, only to lose in the next round to Kansas.
In 1988 we won the Freedom Bowl and won an NCAA game.
It's been a while.
