You guys who can’t fathom that stats and predictions *might mean nothing in the
tournament must all be stat geeks, mathematicians or boring science people or something.

That which is special or unique shout the NCAA tournament can’t be spelled out with analytics, quad 1 or 2 wins and all that.

The reason people life it so much is anything can happen. And does, ever year. Teams show up and give their best. Yes even when the numbers show the other team is clearly better.

This tournament is so much fun and well loved specifically because of its unpredictable nature.

I’m not sure why it’s so odd to hint that there’s a different energy and that a game in January (gasp) might mean nothing to how a team plays in March.
