Sure if you squint your eyes and tilt your head a bit you can see some comparisons, but in reality they're completely different. Houston put up elite defensive stats while playing **SIGNIFICANTLY** better competition than VCU throughout the year. Comparing the two is just silly.

Yes, VCU has performed well defensively against poor competition but the only takeaway we can have here is that they're a question mark at best. They haven't been tested by anyone good so we don't know if they're actually good or not. That's fair. But lets PLEASE stop putting Houston in the same sentence as VCU.

(Note: I'm not saying that BamaCoug was drawing equivalence between VCU and Houston...this is definitely not a shot at BC. I've just seen a lot of people looking at charts like the one referenced in his post and they come away thinking VCU's defense is as good as Houston's, which is ill-informed to say the least).
