BYU’s loss to Houston was disappointing but probably just what they needed to get prepared—mentally, physically, emotionally—for the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament.
BYU will be ready, especially with so many pundits picking VCU to upset them. VCU is riding high after winning their conference tournament. They’re feeling really good about themselves right now. Maybe a little too good.
BYU is unlike any team VCU has played this year. They have talent, athleticism, experience, and maturity. They also have elite coaching. BYU has already successfully weathered many significant storms this season. Nothing VCU will do will be a surprise.
BYU is prepared and ready to change the prevailing narrative that they’re a bad tournament team. Unfortunately for VCU, they’re the team that will be on the receiving end of this changed BYU dynamic.
Go Cougars!
