This is a much better hire. He’s local. He has direct ties as both a player and a coach to the glory years.
He’s coming from the NBA as a very respected development big man coach and a reputation as someone who will do very well with connecting with LDS talent.
I haven’t listened to or read one article about the hire but it doesn’t take much to see that this is the best hire Utah has made in a very very long time.
