Nice, quiet spot on the water. Saw whales from the hotel. But was a solid 20-30 minutes drive to get into San Lucas, including to and from the airport.

As a result I'm not sure I'd recommend it. Being on the water was nice, and it's not a nightspot, so there's that. Rooms were probably a 7-8 out of 10: nice but not overwhelmingly so.

I'm not a 20 something but still would want to be a bit closer to *something*. I don't do vacations where I just sit by a quiet pool. If that's you, more power to you and you may like the JW. One of the best pool complexes I've seen, swim up bar and all that good stuff. Just not my cup.
