Other than the truly exceptional/generational players (like Flagg or AJ), most 5 star Freshman look like Egor and Kanon: flashes of brilliance and wild inconsistency. Kanon was the best player on the floor in certain games. And couldn’t get out of his own way in others. Egor has flashes of brilliance in every game and remarkable court vision, and moments of TO wildness that make us scratch our heads.

Pretty standard for Freshman—even really talented ones.

It also doesn’t mean Egor isn’t a lottery pick. He WILL be taken in the first round, likely in the lottery. NBA teams draft on potential. He has that in absolute abundance.
