1970-ish Pontiac Grand Prix for $500. This was in 1998. Years later, in 2004, I attended his wedding reception. And he and his bride drove off for their honeymoon in, yep, that same Grand Prix. It was awesome to see that thing in action again as we had many fun memories with that car. That thing was a tank. Gas guzzler for sure but an absolute tank.

Anyway, every time I think of Purple Turtle, I think of that friend and that car he bought with his first couple paychecks.
