The real Hoosiers and the BYU cougars have some stuff in common
I checked out this video to hear the story behind the story of Hoosiers. What I noticed surprised me.
1. The team had little or no interpersonal conflict
2. They loved each other like family
3. They were ‘just having fun’
4. They had a young, but experienced coach
5. They were early innovators using the new thing called “a jump shot”
5. Their best player had noticeably excellent form on his jump shot: high vertical and timely release.
6. All the players felt certain that is was because of their coach that they won the championship.
7. They beat Oscar Robinson’s team, the best team and best player in the state.
I know it isn’t exact, it is a different time and era, but I could see a couple similarities between them and the BYU team today. Well, all but the last one… unless they beat Houston 😉
