you should never expect the free throws or foul count to even up. That some refs try to do that is one of the problems with reffing.

Knell charge really bad call. Showed replay several times and were talking about how the defenders feet were not set.

In that situation of trying to draw a charge, you normally need to be "set", to be "in position".
