One of the WFH drawbacks is my truck sitting for long periods. It moves daily but not for very long, then back to its spot. The squirrels apparently love that. One of them ripped all of the stuffing out of one of our patio pillows and moved it into the engine bay for a little nest. That was a fun smell.
Another time they chewed the pigtail connecting some sensors to the battery.
Today I find they’ve eaten the cable connected to my mass air flow sensor. And for the real kick in the nuts… GM doesn’t make these pigtails and you need to buy the entire engine wiring harness. Fortunately the squirrels left me just enough wire on the connector that I was able to splice in some extra wire.
At least that let me turn a $375 part purchase and hours of routing the harness into a $2.75, 30 minute fix.
