#2 son didn’t get in. He was an “average” BYU applicant so bummed but not surprised. He’d really like the BYU experience despite son #1 having a less than ideal BYU freshman experience (Heritage roommate was openly and vocally anti, other guys in apartment were lukewarm towards BYU and the church, even for 17/18 year old boys).

He had planned beforehand that Flex GE was plan B. He always planned on starting summer term no matter what. He’ll hopefully make friends this summer but by that point fall off-campus housing will be decided.
Basically it looks like he needs to be arranging fall housing now. So where are the places that have a reputation for younger students? Even better if there are places with reputation for more FlexGE students.
