The media really loved Patton in the 1940s, and as a result he was fairly well-known by the general public (pun fully intended, because why not). I'm sure most if not all of you are aware of the movie they made of him in 1970 with George C. Scott. However, was he overhyped? Does he get too much credit? Is his reputation deserved? I'm curious what you think. I'm thinking more in relation to other WWII generals, but you could certainly comment about where you think he stands of all generals of all time.
