There is no shortage of basketball knowledge and experience on our sideline.
I think it’s also fair to say that not all of that knowledge and experience, coming mostly from the pro game (With the not insignificant exception of Burgess) has immediately translated effectively to the college game.
I want KY et al be very aggravated with themselves over the way that we finished the game offensively. That was unequivocally bad. I simply do not get the player rotations at the end. Maybe they weren’t all bad. Maybe they were. I feel like I understand basketball less than some, but better than most, and I’m genuinely perplexed by what I saw. I’m sure there’s an explanation. I’m also sure I don’t get it.
Hand on the Bible, until about the last two or three minutes when I started asking where Catchings was, my consistent comment throughout the game was that we were playing very good basketball against a Baylor team that was good in its own right and making plays. The overwhelming majority of that game was just simply fun to watch.
