This is great advice. I have a friend that had some very extreme and unexpected health problems arise. We were not
close friends. She had a lot of very close friends in the ward, so I was a little surprised when I asked if there was anything that I could do for her and she said that she would love someone to just come visit.

We scheduled a time for me to come, and I ended up going to visit her every week for a few months. It would just be a few hours of just sitting and chatting until she started getting well enough to walk and get out of the house again. Her husband told me how grateful he was for it because there were only a couple of us that were willing to actually come and just spend time with her, and she felt very isolated and lonely. He was leaving her to go into the office every day, so he felt very limited in what he could do to help her in that way.
