He was also good at setting screens, but he was just not much of a scorer. I thought he took what the defense gave him enough to keep them honest on the offensive side of the ball, but he never found his stroke at BYU.
That said, he had decent hustle and I was sad to see him leave BYU. I have to think he regrets that decision given his regression at Baylor where he played about half as many minutes the first year and even less the second year with a corresponding decline in all of his per-game stats. Unless Pope forced him out for some reason that move made no sense.
