Framing out a basement just to insulate it?
The only insulation I have in my basement is what is stuck in the ceiling. Unfortunately a lot of the duct work is exposed which means the furnace has to heat up all that duct work in a very cold basement before it can heat the main floor. I've contemplated putting insulation on ducts, but I worry that might cause the areas of the basement to actually freeze. I don't want to allow the possibility of frost down there.

Has anyone done framing just along the basement walls just to insulate it better?
