I always saw him as a solid coach, that walked and coached in the same path/model of Lavell Edwards. I still don’t know all the details of what he knew or didn’t want to know, but the fact of the matter is that he knew his assistant had committed horrific offenses against multiple youth, and didn’t go straight to the police.
That being said, they got away with it, and the NCAA was an accomplice in the continued coverup and hyperbolic attempt to gaslight the nation into believing that only Sandusky was involved, and it was time to move on.They wanted the eyeballs of the nation to continue watching the legendary large Penn State crowd on television and made it happen with the weakest punishment, for the worst crime in my lifetime. It shouldn’t surprise me, though. Look at what they are currently doing with the Kansas, Louisville, and other universities in the Adidas federal investigation.They basically have made the public believe it is over, after Bill Self chose a few non conference games to sit out, while 11 Adidas executives and others involved, still sitting in prison and the government and IRS still has an open case. They did the same thing with their darling, Urban Meyer, who is now on television and likely to take on another job in the next couple years. If you bring viewers and win, the NCAA will find a way to get selective amnesia.
