There was only one PE portco that didn’t do well. In that case, I was unwinding $500m from the balance sheet for Platinum Equity (worst sponsor out there) and they wouldn’t listen to my recommendations and consequently bankrupted the company. Fortunately, I was able to save the company in bankruptcy and it was sold to a new sponsor that has done very for the employees.
