In my career in my field, I've quit the job 2x and quit the management 3x even
though the work was fine in the latter. When I've quit jobs it's because it wasn't a fit and I grew terribly bored with the product.
So, not always a true statement, but I would say if you are in the right position in your chosen field and doing the kind of work you expect, it's usually true.
