Pete The Hope That Kills You
So I bought the Klipsch set and the volume knob is wonky and unless I push it just right I don't get sound out of the
left speaker. I changed the speaker wires from left to right and it's not a problem with the speaker, it's with the volume knob and the sound it's sending to the preamp. Dumb. Ordered another one that'll be here in a few days. I'll swap out the one speaker and it should just work.

Also the power light is incredibly bright. I think I'm gonna mark it with a sharpie or put electric tape over it. So bright. And it's always on, so what's the point. There's no power button anywhere. Just plug it in and it's on.

One other thing. I'd debated about how to connect sound to both my dock and my roku that's plugged into an external monitor. I bought a splitter and that was working fine. But then I unplugged the splitter which unplugged the main input from the dock. Sound was still coming out. What I found was that sound goes out my dock through the displayport to the monitor. So if I have the speakers plugged into the monitor, I still get sound from my laptop. The downside of this is that it has to be on the computer input on the monitor. If I want simultaneous sound out the computer/dock and the monitor, the splitter does the trick.
