Yep - this was part of the Jomboy breakdown of the game.
I think everyone assumed he was defenseless, and was trying to figure out what was an indicator and what wasn't and why they didn't call it. Since they ruled he was NOT defenseless, that makes the call much easier to understand.
The replay people might be the only people on the planet who think he wasn't defenseless, but that ruling makes the decision easy to understand.
