I disagree, but even if you’re right, you still have to pay him if you’re the Niners
1. How many other top 20 QBs are available? None.
2. Those that are, what’s their market? If they aren’t 40+ like Rodgers/Cousins, they’re going to be just as expensive as Purdy.
3. Purdy is young, been in the system (which is really hard to play in), and has the locker room. Kyle trusts him, and he’s got zero red flags character wise.
4. If you go the Cousins/Rodgers route, you have one year. The Niners window is over, so you’re figuring out what you need to do to open the next one. Even if they’re good, you have to find a QB next year anyways.

Good with it. I think he’s solidly a top 10 QB, but Kyle has to figure out how to scheme the pass game and adapt a bit
