A neighbor died during COVID, but from a cancer relapse. Tore the family apart that medical professionals and husband would only allow 1 or 2 at a time to visit her. Didn’t have a funeral, because it caused literal fights and I don’t think the husband talks to or interacts with that part of the family 4 1/2 years later.

Lots of reasons for not having funerals, I guess.
