I told my kids to hurry and do their chores in anticipation for the game.

They did them and then we got loaded in the car.

I then looked for my parking pass and realized it was in Houston.

'I did the dishes for NOTHING?' said one child.

'I took out the trash for this?' cried the other.

'If you want to go to the Texas Tech game,' explained the father, clearly embarrassed, 'then let's go back in the house and pretend like this never happened.'
