Does it count if I had my employer do it on my behalf?
My employer offers this “community cares” grant program where they give a certain amount of charitable gifts they grant on behalf of those of us employees who heavily participate in the company’s annual giving campaign.

Years ago I was able to start donating to the church as part of that campaign, and eventually was able to direct everything to the church’s tithing department, so that now I pay all my tithing through payroll deductions as part of the giving campaign.

And as a result every year I’m awarded these additional grants that I can have the company make on my behalf. So I eventually found a way to channel those monies to the church, and directed to BYU, and specifically BYU athletics.
