Pretty serious but stage III can be cured. He will need chemo+RT for 6 weeks and
Then a year of durvalumab. Offer to give him rides to daily radiation. It's nice to have a friend.
If he has an ALK, EGFR or PDL-1 mutation he should do well. Best is if he has a high tumor mutational burden (TMB).
