This was the same podcast that called him out this AM. I won't go into what this Ute Podcaster said before, but it wasn't nice.

In the interview, he explained Nu wanted to play this year and then go to the League, but injuries held it up.
He made his "Utah Man am I" tweet and negotiated his NIL. However, he never signed it and said he didn't feel it was right for him. He waited a few days and still didn't sign and then decided he needed to be in the portal.

Shawn is a Utah fan so this wasn't him. He currently owns no blue clothing.

He got into the portal was talking to Texas, Georgia and BYU. He then signed with BYU. BYU and Utah NIL money was on par. There was more money out there to be had, but he stuck with BYU.
