Have a playoff with 32 teams. All 4 P4 teams and the best of the G5 get automatic bids. Other 27 teams are selected based on record, ratings, and power rankings.

16 current bowl venues are used for first-round games.
8 current bowl venues are used for second-round games.
4 current bowl venues are used for quarterfinal games.
2 current bowl venues are used for semifinals.
1 current bowl venue is used for the finals.

No one gets a bye. No home games. 31 current bowl venues are utilized for the CFP. All other bowl games should just be done away with.

1st round is 2nd weekend of December
2nd round is 3rd weekend of December
3rd round is 4th weekend of December
Semi-Finals are on New Years Day
Finals are one week later
