In today's bracketology, Joe Lunardi has Big12 as the 3rd best conference in terms of total teams making it.
SEC has 12 teams and B1G with 11, but B12 at only 8.
It's one thing to have SEC and B1G continue to dominate the football narratives, but now they are doing it with basketball too. That's not good, and can only add more fuel to the idea of a 'P2' pulling away from everyone else entirely.
So much for the narrative we had before the season started that the Big 12 had upgraded their rosters across the board. West Virginia is the only team living up to that billing so far. Everyone else is about on par from last year. And that's all going to make it hard for Yormark to try to monetize basketball separately from football if this becomes the new normal.
