Only coaches and players about to sub in are supposed to be right behind the
white line.
The rest of the bench, trainers, etc. are supposed to be further back.
They don't enforce it strictly, but if there is a collision, there isn't much of an excuse.

He was clearly on the white and collided with the ref. He wasn’t way over the line but he was over.

I'm guessing he is done at Georgia though, I don't think Kirby is a forgiving kind of guy in that regard.
