Yes, that would happen if the post was a response to an upstream post that was deleted
If you do the "Ask mods a question" thing and ask about it (with a specific link), someone can look it up for you and confirm that.

Probably a post you made where someone upstream changed the thread to FO, or an FO you no longer are on.

He's saying it is red, and has the (deleted post) under the subject, so it was actually deleted by a mod
