Does anyone else find it interesting that the first year SEC teams had to play
their way through other conference champions to get a shot at a natty, only one made it through by the skin of their teeth? And it's Texas, who has been in the league one year.

No Alabama, no Georgia, no LSU, no Florida, no Auburn, etc. Maybe, just maybe, gifting teams a spot in the playoff without making them play through other conference champions was a bad idea?
