I'm not a fantasy fan (but I LOVED Game of Thrones, whatever that genre is), and I don't even really like much fiction, so take this with a grain of salt....

I don't think it's particularly well-written. Kind of dime-store-ish. Characters are not very three-dimensional nor complex. Good book for teenagers. Moves pretty fast, though, to its credit.

I'm giving Well of Ascension a try, and will likely finish the series, but I doubt this will make me a Sanderson fan. Too nerdy for my taste.
