I don't agree with your assessment. I had no dog in that fight.

I also watched the Mavericks against the Heat in the Finals and 100% think the refs cheated for the Heat (first Finals, 2006 I believe).

Of course we found out that a guy in both of those series went to prison for it.

There have been many other instances where I thought teams have been purposely screwed. I think the Chiefs get calls because the NFL likes having Mahomes win and Taylor Swift front and center. Nothing egregious, just little things here and there that add up to the difference.

I have no doubt that the NBA officiating is messed up. Whether it is personal biases (the one against Duncan and the Spurs was crazy) or downright cheating I don't know. I tend to try and give refs the benefit of the doubt and just assume they are not good at their jobs.
